How Do you Find High Priced Amazon Products that Sell Well?

Well you can do it manually by choosing Amazon categories then checking the best seller list and searching for products over $100 but that takes time and there's no guarantee you'll find any.

Or you can use a tool like the awesome AmaSuite and give it criteria such as product must be priced $100+, have at least 50 reviews and be 4 star rated and it will automatically bring back hundreds of perfect product you can promote for huge commissions.

>> There's a special 60% discount of AmaSuites on this link.

Plan of Action #1: Comparison or Review Sites

So these should give you some ideas away from the typical products people usually try and promote on Amazon.

Not only are most quite niche they have high price tags and clearly sell well too.

A plan of action here would be to pick one product category from above and create a price comparison site using my favorite comparison theme or a review site using the very easy to use yet powerful Valenti theme for WordPress.

Review Sites...

Before someone says review and comparison sites don't work anymore or Google doesn't like these sorts of sites just look at Consumer Search ranking extremely well in the SERPS currently for TONS of search terms like “best paper shredder” (1,600 USA searches per month) and “best air conditioner” (1,300 USA searches per month) and is a straight up affiliate site that simply reviews products.

There's tons of ways to find these best sellers and it was proven by Chelsea in this post.

Nader's thoughts: Review sites are awesome due to the fact they have plenty of room for SEO and being shared. They can be combined with comparison sites and charts so you can really take advantage of both business models into one website...

Comparison Sites...

Comparison sites like confused.com, gocompare.com, moneysavingexpert.com and many more have forever ranked highly in Google and are straight up affiliates.

They just put a little more effort into their content than your standard affiliate site.

Go the extra mile and be rewarded!

Plan of Action #2: Niche Blogs & Authority Sites

Or alternatively think of the demographics of the sort of people who buy these items and create niche blogs or authority sites around the products.

For example the fishing market is huge.

You can find a sub-niches within the market and give out hints and advice on fishing and review the best boats.

Talk about what's happening in the world of fishing (find out from sites and magazines) and promote boats as your high ticket item as well as smaller items along side them.

The home security niche is another great market to jump into.

Offer insights into how to better protect your home, review the latest technology, and talk about the fears these people have and how to resolve them (fear of their home being broken into, robbed, family attacked etc) and you can easily make a lot of affiliate sales.

As I mentioned earlier the renewable energy market is huge.

Create a niche blog or authority site within this niche (you can focus on renewable energy as a whole or niche down to focus on solar power only) and talk about ways to generate your own power, save money on bills, live a green life and so on and you'll be able to sell solar panels and much more.

Many members including Nader believe in authority sites as it's a great way to have involvement in a niche that has many products to promote and a lot of content to create.

Forget $7 ebooks and $1 commissions, go big or go broke!

If you want to find more high ticket Amazon products without the hassle of manually searching for them, you can automate the process with AmaSuites.

If you can't find your niche, you can always use our 7 steps to finding your profitable niche report.

Nader's thoughts: As you've read, I'm a big believer in authority sites. They are like the empire of all models and always have plenty of room for growth into more topics than other business models.

great ideas here! Do you think people are comfortable making big purchases online though? For example, if I was going to buy a fishing boat I would think to go to a more specialty store, no?

    • NicheHacks says:

Hey Dave, the proof is in the sales volume and you just have to look at the number of reviews some of these items have to see that people DO buy them online and through Amazon.

      • john says:

hi, can you please answer ths questions
        1. how many people can afford to buy fishing boats
        2. how many in the family use fishing boats
        3. how often do they have to replace their fishing boats ?

        • NicheHacks says:

John...you are asking me how many people in the world can afford to buy fishing boats?

Well obviously I have no idea what the answer to that question is....Google might tell you how many boat owners there are in the world though.

Again question 2...how can I answer that?

          And 3....no idea I'm not a fisherman.

I find your questions odd John.

The fact is fishing boats sell in high quantities on Amazon, the proof is in the reviews. They are also expensive so there money to be made selling them as an affiliate.

          • John says:

ohh sorry, i did not check the number.. ill check it in your pdf or amazon right now..

          • John says:

            Fishing Boats
Even boats priced $700 + have over 50 reviews which means thousands of sales.

My niche site has price range from
$200 (cheapest) with no. of reviews 100
$370+ (best) with no. of reviews 100
$400 (best) with no of review below 200
$5,000 (most expensive) no of review below 10

im number 1 or 3 in google about 250 daily visitors
monthly order ? not hot cake ...

          • NicheHacks says:

Sorry but I don't understand your question John?

  2. Looking good man!

Liking the Solar Panels idea, I'm aiming to do a bit more affiliate based parasite pages this month, given me a ton of ideas to work with here ^.^

Blog looks pretty cool so far, good luck man!

    • NicheHacks says:

Hey Charles, good to see you over here and thanks for the comment.

Glad you got some ideas from it. More of this sort of thing to come soon.

      Thanks for the compliments.

  3. Jeff says:

Great article and great new site.........I just looked up some of these possible keyword categories and was surprised at how low the competitiveness was using Long Tail Pro......reasonable enough to try making a niche review site work.......thanks for the insight.

    • NicheHacks says:

Hey Jeff, glad it was useful. Get in on these niches before everyone else does. Let me know how it goes.

  4. Brian Manon says:

Some great ideas here. I'm actually in the process of building out a few price comparison sites. Ill be adding one or 2 of your niche suggestion into the mix.

  5. Emma Nelson says:

Hi, thank you for the article. Can I ask in regards to Amazon products - Amazon has a UK and US version. You are from the UK but you talk in dollars. Does this mean that you target a US audiance and use the US version of Amazon?

    Many thanks

    Emma
    Mymoneycafe.com

    • NicheHacks says:

Hey Emma, thanks for commenting. I use the US version and target a US audience yes. You don't need to promote to the country you are from / live in

      Hope that helps?

  6. Darryl says:

I really like the plan of action section.

I'm still getting my website up and running (only 4 days into IM) and I'm unsure how to promote these things and add the links to my site. Would you say it's a better use of my time to go with the AMASuite? Are keywords automatically built into the AMASuite?

    • NicheHacks says:

Hey Darryl, well you wouldn't try and promote all of these products on the one site as they are totally different niches so it would make no sense.

AMASuite among other things helps you find Amazon products with high price tags, certain amount of reviews, ratings etc - if you wanted to find some new products in a particular category then this would help you.

  7. Darmi says:

    Hey
You are genius i love the idea and i really like energy since it is going heywire in everywhere . I will try one of this and I will need your help in future for my venture.

  8. Raweewan says:

    Hi
Really great ideas for my next affiliate niche website. I'll come back for more.
    Thanks

  9. john says:

Hi Stuart; I have now tried TWICE to get the "1781" untapped and the "280 expensive warra warra" - you send me to a page, say "success", but that`s as far as it goes - huh???
Secondly your optin thingie pops up when I move my mouse taking up the WHOLE screen; this causes me to change my screen settings from 800x600 (which works for me. having only ONE eye) so I can cancel it to carry on reading - -REALLY friggin annoying!!!

    • NicheHacks says:

      Hey John,

Sorry to hear you're having problems. Working on trying to make the pop ups as unobtrusive as I can.

When you land on the success page it tells you how to get your free gifts, have you followed the instructions?

You need to check your email for the welcome email which has the link to get them.

In some cases the free gifts are actually on the success page depends on which opt in form you used.

If none of the above applies it may be that you're already on my mailing list already?

      • john says:

Hi Stuart; yes, am on your list, but did not previously take advantage of the offers - had too much on my plate, but would now like to obtain this info; so how do I do this, short of using another email and resubscribing?

  10. Howie says:

    Hey Stuart,

You provide some great tips here in some excellent niches that I would have to agree can be wildly profitable. However, I have been hesitant to work Amazon products into my site. I love that they provide a brand name that people trust, solid prices, extended user reviews, etc. However, the thing that I find wildly unfriendly for affiliates is their cookie settings. As I am sure you are well aware, the average user does not make a purchase the first time they view a product online. It can take up to 7 times before they actually pull the trigger and make the purchase. Amazon only provides it's affiliates with a 24 hour cookie. I've really never understood how some people have been so successful creating and promoting sites that are developed around Amazon products. Essentially, if my visitor follows a link to a product on Amazon and doesn't purchase within 24 hours, I just basically advertised that product for them for free, no? If in a few days or even a week, the same visitor goes directly back o Amazon, since it is a recognizable and easy site to remember, makes the purchase, then Amazon keeps 100% of the profits from that sale. Meanwhile, my initial review or article was responsible for peaking their interest and sending them to that product in the first place. I really can't stand that fact. I think Amazon owes a little more to it's affiliates than a 24 hour cookie that allows them to virtually steal a ton of business and sales, while receiving free advertising and promotions of their products.

What are your feelings about it? Right now, I continue to stick with private affiliate programs directly from the manufacturer and/or some of the affiliate networks. Sure, the commissions are also much higher from these programs, but more importantly, I don't feel like I am wasting my time by busting my hump to churn out content and generate traffic for better conversion rates because these programs offer a much longer life cycle for my affiliate link cookies. Some are even up to 45 days, which is awesome. The bottom line is one sale is nearly always going to result in more business for that company or future purchases of that product. It allows those companies to directly market for them and us affiliates are virtually building their lists for them. Is it really too much to ask for a generous or at least respectable time frame for our affiliate link cookies so we can at least get the credit for one sale? That's my two cents and I'm interesting in hearing your take on the matter. Thanks and all the best!

    • NicheHacks says:

Yeah 24 hours isn't ideal but Amazon does convert like crazy so you can make a lot of money on the first visit

The guys making small Amazon review type sites get so much success with it because they target 'buyer keywords' in their content to target people who are close to making a purchase

I listed 220 buyer intent keywords here: http://nichehacks.com/buyer-keywords-list/

If you've not got an amazon review style site you can still promote them simply by making sure you feature those products multiple times on your site / mailing list so people are continually exposed to it increasing your chance of making the same through re-exposure.

I don't think you should avoid Amazon all together. Many people make a generous living from it/

      • Howie says:

Thanks for the feedback, Stuart. I do agree that the conversion rates are higher with a trusted resource. I like your idea of targeting buyer keywords so that you may be able to catch them a little further along in the buying cycle. Thanks for the tips and the link!

  11. I have many websites and there are not many traffic and sales. What is the guarantee with AmaSuites. there will be traffic and sales. So many softwares promises the mountain and nothing happens. What is your tips to get traffic to sell

    Regards
    Laurie

    • NicheHacks says:

Hi Laurie, there is no guarantee with AmaSuits or any other tool / product there will be traffic and sales.

Anyone who guarantees that isn't being truthful to you.

With every online business method I know you have to put work into getting traffic and sales, it's not something that can really be done on autopilot.

There's plenty of posts on the blog about traffic if you use the search box you will find them.

      Thanks

  12. Hi Stuart! Awesome stuff you speak of. My question is this Stuart I just joined a group out of Arizona called "Affiliate Masters" I basically am given a Website with coaching for $147.00. I have the capability of promoting any of Amazon,s products and have 6 months till I can receive a refund from them. They are offering me 10% or up to 10% commissions on the product to promote on my website. My website is being created and delivered in 2 more days. My question is What product or products would be the best to promote? And at that commission basically i would need $50k in sales just to net $5k in a month. Not to mention the returns. That is my goal $5k+ a month. I do not have a list of anything and the coach will not be calling me for 5-7 days. How can they set up a website with content when I am not sure what product or products I wish to promote? A newbie as you can tell. Thank You, Sincerely William

    • NicheHacks says:

      Hey William,

Who is offering you 10% the group you've joined or Amazon?

Amazon starts at just 4% for most items. You need to sell quite a few items for the percentage to increase.

I don't know how they pick which products go on your site but it seems to me if your site is being delivered in a few days they must be picking them for you, no?

Contact them / call your coach to find out.
