For anyone who doesn't know you, who are you and what are you all about?
I'm Tung Tran – the amazon affiliate guy.
I help new online entrepreneurs make $1000 a month in less than 90 days building amazon affiliate websites.
How did you get started in internet marketing?
It is a long story as I've been blogging for almost 7 years now, but I only made the first dollar online 4 years ago when I put some affiliate links on my technology blog.
That was the moment when I discovered the potential of the online business world.
So I just got serious and 4 years later I’m earning a full time living with my online business.
Often friends and family don't really 'get' this whole internet marketing thing or take it seriously, how do yours feel about it and how did they react when you first told them you were going to give it a try?
They thought I was crazy. Everyone including my family and best friends did.
They even thought that I was trying to be a sort of hacker or scammer who stole people’s credit cards. It was funny!
But I didn’t care much about that. I had my goal, so I just tried as hard as I could to achieve it.
What was your first ever website or niche?
I can’t remember but my first English blog was techsharing.net

If you had to give one piece of advice to a newcomer in the internet marketing world, what would it be?
Figure out your goal, and strive for it.
Focus on one business idea and try your best to make it work. Don’t dabbling in everything!
What does it take to be a success in the internet marketing world in your opinion?
FOCUS solely on one thing and be the best at it.
When choosing a niche, follow passion or money?
My passion is to build valuable websites that solve people’s problems.
Big problem = big money.
One of the most common questions I receive from my audience is “How do I get started?”.
What would you advise them?
1. Figure out what you want to do.
2. Learn about it through courses, books, articles…
3. Do it.
Spend 20% of time on learning and 80% on doing.
You will succeed in no time.
If you lost everything and had to start all over again with just a $100 budget, what would you plan of action be?
Forget about it. $100 is nothing.
Don’t try to start your business with $100. Spend it on healthy foods instead.
Here’s how I would do it:
- Get a job to support yourself. It doesn’t have to be a 9-to-5 job, you can freelance. Anything that can provide you enough income to live.
- Work on building up your skill set like SEO, copywriting, WordPress, etc
- Find a business idea and work on it on your free time.
- Once your business generates enough money to replace your job, do whatever you want 🙂 If I were you, I will quit the job, focus on my business, and travel.
You may not like this answer but this was really what I did.

I was earning like $2000 a month that time and that was more than enough for me to focus on building my main business.
What are you working on at the moment, what are your plans for the future and do you have anything new in the pipeline you'd like to share with us?
Nothing new really. I'm building up a new review website at the moment and that'd be the only project I'd do in the next 3 months.
